Heidi Ho and the Computer-Tech Guy

My friend Heidi wants to know what the new computer-tech guy at work thinks of her. After a week of meaningful glances, and awkward eye contact, he finally mustered the courage to chat her up on Friday.  Then Monday he seemed to go out of his way to avoid her.  Here we are on Wednesday morning, and Heidi just called to say that when she ran into Tech-Guy in the break room, accidentally on purpose this morning, she’s pretty sure he gave her the stink eye.  What’s up with this guy?

So Heidi wants to know what the cute Computer-Tech-Guy thinks of her.  That makes her the focus of the reading, and so I’m using the Lenormand Lady to represent her.

The Book shows that Tech-Guy finds Heidi to be intelligent and mysterious, and Dog says he thinks she’s friendly.  Whip indicates a definite attraction, but Snake says he sees her as trouble.  Why would he see her as trouble? Dog + Book could might also mean that Tech-Guy believes Heidi is already involved with someone unknown to him.  If he thinks she’s already taken, his sudden change in behavior begins to make sense.  Whip + Snake might indicate that he is interpreting her attentions as cheating on her existing boyfriend.

The truth is that Heidi is sort of seeing someone casually, and if Tech-Guy made inquiries about her at work, it’s likely that a co-worker would have told him that she’s currently involved.

So, I called Heidi back at work to let her know that the cards say Tech-Guy thinks she’s already involved, and therefore he sees her as trouble.  Before setting Tech-Guy straight, Heidi wanted to be sure that he wasn’t already involved himself.  So she asked me to throw a few more Lenormand cards to see if he’s available.  I promised I would, and hung up the phone.

This time I made Tech-Guy the focus, and used the Lenormand Gentleman card to represent him.

Ouch! Heidi is not going to be happy with this startling discovery!  The Ring behind the Gentleman shows that Tech-Guy is already married, or at the very least in a committed relationship.  Book says that he likes to keep this little fact a secret.  Lily shows that he’s happy with his current circumstances, and he’s in it for the long haul, but Roads says he likes to keep his options open.  How shameful!  I find it amusing that Tech-Guy would judge Heidi for flirting while being otherwise involved, when he’s not adverse to stepping out himself! Talk about double standards (Roads)!

I left skid marks on the carpet as I dashed to the phone to call Heidi, and advise her not to bother setting the two-timing Tech-Guy straight!
