My friend Kelly is in the process of purchasing a new home. She’s found two houses that she likes, but each has its own pros and cons, and she can’t decide which she wants to bid on.
Yesterday she asked me if the cards could help her determine which of the two homes would be the best choice in terms of her future comfort, security and happiness. I thought it was a great idea, and so here follow the readings on each home under consideration.
For the readings I used the No Layout system, and chose The House as the Key Card. I charged the Key Card with the image and address of the house. (For information about the No Layout System, and how to charge a Key Card, please see The Secrets of the Lenormand Oracle by Sylvie Steinbach).
Reading 1 – The House on Seabridge Place
09 Bouquet + 28 Man + 34 Fish + 04 House + 06 Clouds + 27 Letter + 36 Cross
Bouquet + Man + Fish = This home is the more attractive of the two, and it’s the one the client favors (bouquet). The man + Fish + house represents the real estate agent who is presenting the home.
Clouds + Letter + Cross = These cards don’t look very favorable. The clouds + letter show something unrevealed about the house that will come to light in some documentation or a written report. This information may reveal a hidden problem with the house, and the Cross shows that the problem could cause the client grief.
The House + Clouds makes me think that the house may be unstable, so there may be some structural problems that would be revealed in an inspection. The information (Letter) may cause the homeowner to regret purchasing the house (Cross) in the end.
These cards indicate that the house on Seabridge may be the nicer of the two homes, but there is something unclear about the house that will be revealed in some paperwork that will cause worry and anxiety.
This home does not appear to be a good choice. This reading makes sense since the deal seems way too good to be true. The house is currently owned by the bank. It had been on the market previously and did not sell, and now it’s being offered ‘as is’ at a reduced price which could mean there are unsuspected problems.
Reading 2 – The House on Stonewood Court
01 Horseman + 28 Man + 29 Woman + 04 House + 26 Book + 09 Bouquet + 32 Moon
Horseman + Man + Woman = The woman represents the client, and since her card falls next to the Key Card, the focus of the reading shifts to her. The Man represents the real estate agent as in the previous reading, and the Horseman shows that he presented the news of the house to the client.
House + Book + Bouquet + Moon = These cards show something unknown or unexpected about this home as well. The Bouquet + moon indicate that whatever is discovered will be something favorable, and will bring happiness and contentment. The Moon suggest that this could be Kelly’s dream home. Both the Horseman and the Moon suggest fast timing, so purchasing this house would most likely be a smooth deal that would close very quickly.
The Stonewood house looks like the better choice. Kelly just doesn’t realize yet how much she would love this house, and it could end up being her dream home.
Reading 3 – Stonewood Ct, is it really the right choice?
Kelly was not convinced about the Stonewood house because the other house seems like a better deal for the money, so I suggested that we double check to make sure it was the Stonewood house that the cards were saying would be so wonderful for her. For this 3rd reading I used The House again as the Key Card.
04 House + 09 Bouquet + 16 Stars + 21 Mountain
These cards confirm that Kelly would be happy at the Stonewood house. I find it particularly interesting that the House was the first card Kelly picked indicating that there would be no cards to show the background or recent past. This makes sense since she was asking about her future in the house, and she has no past there.
The Bouquet + Stars confirm that the home will be everything Kelly could hope for, and that she will be very happy there. The Mountain shows delay and non-movement, and indicates that Kelly would settle there permanently, and stay in the house a very long time.
