If you’ve read through some of my previous readings, you’ll know that my brother is having some serious health problems. He’s feeling better now, but he’s still not able to care for himself completely.
My brother is divorced, his children are young, and he doesn’t have anyone to look after him. He has a girlfriend, but she works full-time, and has two children of her own to care for.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the room to take my brother in, so we were talking about the possibility of investing in a new house together so that he would not have to be alone. I decided to ask the cards what result I can expect if we follow through with the plans to purchase a home together.
I’m using the No Layout system as presented in The Secrets of the Lenormand Oracle. For the Key Card I chose The House to represent purchasing a home and moving in together. Here are the cards I pulled:
12-Birds + 16-Stars + 5-Tree + 4-House + 32-Moon + 21-Mountain + 7-Snake
Birds + Stars + Tree – The Birds represent communication, The Stars represent a new life path, and The Tree refers to health matters. These cards show that we are talking about making a life change regarding a health matter, which of course would be purchasing a joint home and moving in together due to my brother’s poor health.
It amazes me that the health matter (The Tree) shows up next to the house as the background reason for the move. This No Layout system is so accurate!
Moon + Mountain + Snake – These card make it clear that the move would not be a good idea, and probably will not happen.
I feel like I could interpret these cards in two ways. First, The Moon represents ‘feelings and emotions,’ and The Mountain represents ‘delay.’ These cards could mean that an emotional issue will delay or prevent the move. My brother and I do have a personality conflict at times, and The Mountain makes me think of ‘stubborness.’ The Snake would show problems continuing into the future.
Interestingly, both The Moon and The Snake suggest a female energy to me. I think a woman is going to try to block our plans. I know exactly who she is too. My brother has a very controlling girlfriend who doesn’t like for him to spend too much time with his family.
The other interpretation that makes sense to me is that The Moon symbolizes ‘nurturing,’ and could represent me caring for my sick brother. The Mountain and The Snake could show that this turns into a huge burden that is fraught with problems.
In any case, The Mountain shows obstacles and delays, and The Snake shows further problems in the future. I don’t think the joint home would be such a good idea.
